Summary
In this temporarily-educated instalment of the SU&SD podcast, Matt, Pip and Paul gathered at a hotel during the 2017 Game Developer's Conference. Their mission? To discuss the hot questions of the day.
Should liches be banned? Are humans secretly terrible at games? Why can't I have my raven back? When is an asteroid frustrating? Should SU&SD be on Pinterest? And most importantly, why do the world's best board game designers think the future is great for players?
We also reach into the mailbag to answer a question on trivia games, and discuss some deeply unprofessional games that are played by actors, on stage.
Commenters, what do you think? Should trivia games continue their slow death, or should we be huffing and puffing into their lungs like someone who kind of remembers CPR (but not really)?
Dungeons & Dragons (5th Edition), Dungeons & Dragons, Trivial Pursuit, butt tag

| 0:00.0 | Hello, welcome to the Shuttles of Downpockest episode number. I don't know, I didn't check |
| 0:11.3 | beforehand. 49. 49. That's not true, we've gone past 50. Yeah, but I like 7 times 7. |
| 0:17.8 | Yeah, well, it's not. I mean, 49, I wish it was, it actually, it's 54. So you've both |
| 0:23.1 | failed the first part of the Shuttles of Downpockest quiz. That's 9 times 6. That's no points |
| 0:28.6 | on the board, although Pip does get one point for Matt. So today we're coming to you live out of a |
| 0:35.2 | bush at GDC. We're not, we're in a hotel room at GDC. We are indeed, like traveling journalists. |
| 0:40.5 | Yeah, but I mean, exciting. We could add some people, sound effects, we probably won't. We are |
| 0:44.5 | traveling journalists, but the difficulty with being at GDC, of course, is it's in a different |
| 0:48.6 | part of the world. It's on a different clock system, which means that we are always slightly mad. |
| 0:54.8 | Well, you two might be jet lagged. I'm just slightly croaky. They have a different egg system |
| 1:01.2 | as well. Oh, yes. What's happening? Well, I mean, they have the wrong time according to my body, |
| 1:07.8 | and then they have eggs that I don't understand. I don't understand what an over-easy is. |
| 1:12.3 | Yeah. We did. I was explaining it to Pip this morning that you have to, that the egg system is |
| 1:17.2 | different. In the UK, you just, how do you produce eggs that come out of your... No, no, no, no, no. |
| 1:22.0 | No, no, no. No, no. You have to ask, there's like sunny side up over-easy over medium. |
| 1:28.9 | Whereas in the UK, we just say fried, but you need to know... |
| 1:32.0 | You just scrambled. Yeah, but there's like a wide number of selections that you choose in |
| 1:35.2 | America that if you do it, they just won't cook your egg properly, and you'll end up with like |
| 1:38.2 | the white bit not cooked. Oh, that's horrible. It is. But then when you ask, you're like, what are |
| 1:41.9 | my options? Then they reel them off really fast, and you're like, that didn't help anyone. |
| 1:45.9 | Yeah, yeah. I just got words in my face. I spent years ordering eggs sunny side up or over-easy, |
| 1:51.5 | because I'd heard them said in films, and it's not cool. Yeah. And even when I realized that |
