Hey everyone and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime where we get Big Mad over

True Crime. I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is straight out of

Canada and yeah I definitely didn't see any of this coming. Small talk sucks so

let's dive in.

April 24th of 2006 in medicine hat Canada should have been like any other normal day for

the Richardson family. They were a family of four, Mark and Deborah and their two children

Jacob who was eight and Jasmine who was 12. Mark and Deborah seemed to have a good

thing going for them. They lived in a cute little split level blue house in a quiet town

and Jacob and Jasmine had no trouble making friends but all wasn't what it seemed on

the outside and this day would be anything but normal. That afternoon a friend of Jacob's

from the neighborhood came to see if Jacob could play but when he rang the doorbell no

one answered which isn't totally abnormal so he went to turn around and leave but something

in the windows of the bottom level of the house caught his eye. It was a body a bloody

body. He ran home to tell his parents who called police and when police showed up they

never could have imagined what they were going to find inside. It was a massacre not only

was there one body in the basement there were two Brenda was at the bottom of the stairs

she had been stabbed 12 times but Mark was also in the basement he had been stabbed 24

times. The police knew there were two other kids who lived in the house so they ran upstairs

to check on them and when they got into Jacob's room the air was just ripped from their bodies.

Eight year old Jacob was lying in his bed dead. His throat had been viciously slit from

one end to the other. I had a hard time adding that specific detail to this episode but his
