Summary

Christopher Johnson, who goes by the trail name Anubis, is currently heading SOBO on the Appalachian Trail. He is the first guest of Trail Tales to be in the middle of a thru-hike while we chat, which provided us with endless topics to cover. We cover how he is holding up physically, mentally, and emotionally. We talk about the unfortunate cold weather that has hit the southern portion of the Appalachian Trail, and how himself and other SOBOs are dealing with it. He is well past the half-way point, but still has a good chunk of miles to go so check out his Instagram!  https://www.instagram.com/a_walk_with_winnie/ Check out my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/kylehateshiking While you're at it, Check out the show's website at trailtalespod.com Like what you hear? the Appalachian Trail. He's heading southbound. He just crossed into Tennessee a few days ago.

He's at a very interesting point in his through hike because he's come a long way, but he still has enough miles left that the end really isn't in sight yet, I guess. So that's why I think it was so awesome that I was able to talk to him. In this stage of his through hike, we talk about how he's doing physically. We talk about how he's doing mentally. We talk quite a bit about the mental stuff, honestly. And it was just a great chat. Anubis, when you hear this, dude, best of luck to you. Stay strong. And thank you so much for coming on the show. Let's do it again after you finish. After you get to Springer Mountain Mountain and let's talk about your success.

First of all, leaving a five-star iTunes review is a great way to help the show. In fact, I will read your five-star iTunes review out loud at some point during an episode introduction. In fact, let's do a couple of these right now because I'm still behind. This one says, awesome podcast for the hiking community. Did I do this one? I might
