Anyway, welcome back to Unexplained Encounters. Today's episode features an assortment of stories

from cabin witches in the woods to giant humanoid bird monsters. Enjoy. I won't keep you

Witch of the Woods

From Kokomo.

My grandparents owned property in eastern Kentucky, about 40 acres of wilderness.

Dad said we'd had it since the 1920s in our family,

but I'm not sure about that. It was a two-bedroom cabin they'd built in the 50s, and though

it was quite ramshackle, the land itself was gorgeous, with dense woods and a creek running

through the bottom, mountains rising up on all sides.

We would go up there every summer when I was a kid,

spending a couple weeks running wild,

while the adults sat on the porch and told stories.

One story they never told when we were young was about the witch.

I didn't hear about her until I was 17 years old, old enough that my grandpa figured I wouldn't get scared and do something stupid.
