Summary

We’re living in a Johnapalooza. With the release of his Blubography (trademark: Elis James) last week, John’s been touring the country. But do any of his shows bear resemblance to the hallowed 1976 Sex Pistols gig at the Lesser Free Trade Hall? Elis and Dave do their best to draw parallels.

Away from book and tour shenanigans, Elis threatens to swear enough to make the show unusable in a bid to halt a guessing game, John imagines how he’d brush his hair if he were an 'odd king', and there’s a controversial Made Up Game (featuring a new all-time classic jingle) that includes not one, not two, but three name changes.

And remember folks, not everything’s Istanbul.

During a normal seven-day period, my highlight would be watching Swansea City beat Charltonon 3-1, but no. Because this week I got to interview the mighty super furry animals, and in a world, first for me in broadcasting, I didn't get it wrong. I'd done my prep over the course of a lifetime. I stopped myself from asking if I could join the band, even though it was the only thing I could think about, and the documentary will serve as a come get me play to six music
