Welcome back to The Incomparable. I'm Tiff Armin, your guest host this week because Jason didn't want to play zombie games with the gamer kids.

We are here to talk about The Last of Us 2, released on June

19th, 2020, the long-awaited continuation of The Last of Us, which has been covered right

here on episode 208 back in 2014. Joining me on the panel today are two apocalypse survivors,

Brian Hamilton. Hello, Brian. Oh, sweet. I found some pills. Hi,

how are you? I know. They're just lying around. Just, just pop those pills. And we also have with us

John Syracusa. Hey, John. Hello, Tiff. May your survival be long. May your death be swift.

Oh. I think you got the better end to that than I did.

So to get right into this, this is a third-person action adventure game produced by Noddy Dog for the PlayStation, if you don't know what we're talking about.

And this game, the second in the series, picks up five years after the original left off.

The game becomes a revenge story and through a series of flashbacks mixed in with current time gameplay, it fills in the gaps

since we last saw our two main characters, Ellie and Joel, when they were leaving the Firefly

base. Before we even get into all of this,

I want to sound that spoiler horn kind of right away

because this is the second game in a series.

And if you haven't played this game,

we're going to spoil it all because there's a lot to talk about.
