Summary

In Episode 530: Surviving MK-ULTRA we are joined by Juliette M. Engel, M.D. As a little girl, Dr. Engel was sold into the CIA program known as MK-Ultra. At 17 years old she escaped and integrated into society with no memories of her childhood. She went on to get her medical degree and start her own practice. As a highly sought-after doctor, she built a reputation for professionalism, and was even one of the first doctors allowed into Russia after the USSR fell in order to help rebuild their medical programs. Her life seemed to be on the path of the successful American dream, until she started to have flashes of memories come back to her, memories of a childhood she didn't recognize. Through a series of events, she started to seek counseling and asked her parents questions about her childhood. In response, her parents essentially told her to kill herself or they were going to disappear forever. Dr. Engel joins The Confessionals to share her life story as she remembers it now and to sound the alarm on the realities of the MK-Ultra program.
