When I started this whole deal, my goal was to help parents and children become partners in writing.

All the curricula I saw out there was focused on how kids could do the writing task and how the curriculum would tell you to do it.

But there was no one explaining to parents what it actually looked like to facilitate that process.

You know what I'm saying?

So the curricula would tell you what to do,

but not how to do it.

You hear what I'm saying?

So in writing, what I saw as the missing link was that parents just needed to know what to do and how to do it.

Not just write a paragraph, but how do you

you help children get in touch with the language that lives inside?
