Welcome to another episode of Kotaku's split screen. It's October 27th, 2016. My name is Kirk Hamilton, and we have got a good show for you today. It's all Nintendo all the time, as Jason Shrier returns from his soon-to-end

0:21.2

sabbatical to talk with me about the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo's new kind-to-handheld kind-a-set-top

0:26.8

console. We're going to test the limits of our deduction ability by taking one trailer

0:31.8

and figuring out how many guesses we can make based on that trailer. We're also going to

0:36.4

answer some reader questions,

0:38.0

talk about Civilization 6, which we've both been playing, do a quick run through some of the

0:41.9

other games we've been playing, and here's some exciting personal news from Mr. Jason

0:45.9

Schreier. Stick around.

0:58.3

And here we are for our last show of October.

1:03.1

1:05.6

My sabbatical is almost over, which is going to be weird. It's going to be weird. I mean, to adjust to Kataku life after four weeks off. Yeah, having recently done

1:28.9

that is definitely weird. It's nice. It's probably been nice, though, right, to kind of get on

1:32.6

your own schedule and do your own thing? It's nice. It's weird. It's hard to stay focused and not

1:39.0

just be like, oh, I'm on sabbatical. I'm going to go play six for five hours. Yeah, it's definitely something that I found was that as much as Kotaku is an exhausting schedule,

1:47.0

you're constantly on, you're constantly paying attention.

1:49.3

When you get away from it, the structure that it can give your life,

1:53.2

it definitely felt like I was missing that when I didn't have it.

1:57.1

I'm sure it's something I would adjust to if I had had a six-month sabbatical or something,

2:00.2

but it was noticeable for me, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Should we start with our features?
