heart. On the morning of August 19th, 2003, 11 year old Heaven Lachee Ross, known as Shay, left her home in Northport, Alabama to

catch the bus for school, but she never made it.

Despite extensive searches and national media attention,

there was no sign of Shay for over three years.

Then in December of 2006,

her remains were discovered beneath an abandoned house

just eight miles from her home. It's been 21 years since Shay was murdered
