Welcome to podcast number 53 of the AlexiSail podcast.

And this is part two of our lengthy interview with Lee Mack.

Now it gets quite granular, I think. It gets quite

into the kind of weeds of professional, the professional

business of being a comedian, but I think that it's

none the worse for that. I think that that's what

podcaster for in a sense is, you know, this long form is to is to you know if you're interested in comedy then

you're you're listening to somebody um you know somebody who's really you know a huge huge star

but talking very simply and analytically about how he's got to that point, you know, somebody who's got both a hit sitcom,

a hit Saturday Night Quiz Show and a hit comedy panel show, you know, and it's, uh, while

managing to remain a relatively normal person, which is, you know, of those things is probably the most massive

achievements of all, really.

So, I mean, have you got anything to say about that to add?

Well, no, he's just, yeah, he's nailed every aspect of the comedy path of the big star,

really.

Yeah, I think if you're a student of, you know, studying comedy or, you know, whatever.

Like how to do it in an amateur, then there's a tremendous amount to be, to be derived from,

from his professionalism, really, and from his working method, I think, which is just fascinating.

In a genuine way and he's never, I can't think of a, you know, say what you want about

Lee Mack, but I don't think he's ever been a bastard.

No, no, I think that's unlikely to it.
