Summary

Mirabai Starr writes creative non-fiction and contemporary translations of sacred literature. She taught Philosophy and World Religions at the University of New Mexico-Taos for 20 years and now teaches and speaks internationally on contemplative practice and inter-spiritual dialog. A certified bereavement counselor, Mirabai helps mourners harness the transformational power of loss. 1:03.1	I interviewed Mirabai five years ago, in person that time also, at the Science and Non-Duality Conference,
1:10.3	and that interview was very impromptu.
1:12.2	We were eating dinner and she introduced herself and she said, Mirabai Star. I said, Mirabai Star,
1:16.8	I said, Mirabai, Star, I've heard so much about you. Let's do an interview. And so we just
1:20.7	kind of went to the room and did an interview. Cold. I know Mirabai a lot better now, and we're going to cover completely different information
1:28.8	that we did in the first one, although you might want to loop back and watch the first one also.
1:32.7	That was more biographical about the story of your life and all.
1:36.8	One advantage of doing interviews at the Sand Conference is I get to do them in person, and one disadvantage
1:42.7	is that there's so many things to prepare for leading up to the conference
1:46.5	that I don't get to prepare for each interview as thoroughly as I usually do when I only do
1:51.8	them once a week.
1:52.9	So, unfortunately, I haven't read Mirabai's book in its entirety, but she's such an accomplished
