Welcome to the Huntback Country podcast. This is episode number 527, and our guest is Nate Simmons. As I was editing this podcast and

putting it together to release it, it made me think of the origins of this podcast, of the

Huntback Country podcast, which we started almost 10 years ago. It was July of 2015. And at that time, Steve and I had no

idea that 10 years later, we'd still be doing the podcast. We didn't know anything about starting a

podcast. There weren't very many hunting podcasts at the time. But Steve and I knew some very cool people and we would have

conversations with them that helped us, Steve and myself, become better hunters or just have

conversations that we would learn from. And we genuinely were like, we should record these.

We should get people on the podcast that we know

and share conversations publicly that could help us become better hunters, but also help

anyone listening become a better hunter. And this conversation with Nate Simmons is exactly that.

Nate is a guy that Steve and I have respected for a long time. He's been part of the

industry for a long time. He's very experienced, very knowledgeable, very successful, and at the same

time, quite humble and very relatable. And it's great to have Nate on the podcast. There's so many

takeaways in this conversation.

We dive into a lot of different topics. We get pretty deep on some archery stuff. We talk about

stalking, mule deer hunting, elk hunting, family. Yeah, it's just super wide ranging. And I'm excited

that 10 years later, we're sharing a conversation that is really the
