Welcome back to Built by Business. I'm Andy Isam. Today we're going to look at the rise of India as a sourcing powerhouse.

Tariffs and tensions making China less predictable. Brand owners are searching for alternatives.

And India has become that middle ground, competitive pricing, improving infrastructure, and deep manufacturing culture

that fits Amazon and D2C strategies. My special guest today is low cash parashar who owns a

sourcing company in India. And to no surprise, they're helping a lot of clients right now find

good supplier options as an alternative to, to say China. Here's the thing,

though, India isn't necessarily cheaper than China. It's different than China. There are certain

products that China is very good at manufacturing. And there's other products that India is good at

manufacturing. And I think this is

something that people need to understand. Not every country is good at making everything. So you may be

frustrated trying to find a certain type of supplier in Mexico or Brazil or India, for example. So I asked

Lokesh, what are some products that India is good for when it comes to manufacturing?

Traditionally, India has been known for textiles, leather goods and mixed material products in the home and lifestyle categories.

However, this is a misconception, or I would say a limited understanding of India's manufacturing strength.
