Between 1999 and 2015, over 900 British subpostmasters were convicted of theft, fraud and false accounting. The thing is, they were all innocent and were the victims of faulty accounting software. This is an astonishing story of a year's long cover up and extreme miscarriage of justice, and the fourth most voted topic of Block 2025!
This is a comedy/history podcast, the report begins at approximately 08:11 (though as always, we go off on tangents throughout the report).

All the shows have sold out. So we've added extra shows in Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington. Yeah. So exciting. So exciting. You know, you never know. You never know people are going to want to come. And people are coming all over Australia and New Zealand for us. |

| 0:53.3 | So good to be here. Quick question. How good is it to be alive? It's Block. Oh, Block, a beautiful time to be alive. The only time I wish I was born. Yes. Block, the time of the year where we do our biggest, bestest topics, the most voted for, the most requested, the ones that have got people up and about. Yeah. Really just up about. You know, really rock hard, so to speak. We're a rock out of a block. Block hard. Yeah. Block hard. Oh my God. That's like in, what, eight years ago? Eighth blocks together. And Dave, you said, how low instead of hello. Was that a nod to the classic Nirvana song, Smells Like Teen Spirit? |
| 1:28.5 | Yes. |
| 1:28.9 | Hello. |
| 1:30.9 | Do you remember when talking about ages ago that in a documentary, that was a musicologist, |
| 1:35.1 | he's like, just the way he could just work with words, you know. |
| 1:40.4 | He said, hello, hello, hello. |
| 1:44.8 | It was so good. |
| 1:47.1 | The musicologist really spoke to me. |
| 1:49.1 | Can I be the first to say, that's good writing. |
| 1:53.0 | That's a good talking heading. |
| 1:54.9 | Now, we're up to the fourth most votable topic of Block 2025. |
| 1:58.7 | Can you believe it? |
| 1:59.5 | I can't. |
| 2:00.0 | Top four. |
| 2:00.7 | That gives it the white ribbon if it's like my primary school. |
| 2:05.2 | Really? |
| 2:06.4 | You'd get a blue ribbon for first, red for second, green for third and white for fourth, maybe. |
| 2:13.1 | Something weird like that. |
