I'm your host, Connie, with a C. That's Bruce with a B right next to me. And in today's episode, we are going to go back. We're going to, we're going to back it up.

We're going to back things up. Take it easy, lady.

We're going to go back to October 1st, 1971, the day the dream came true in Florida.

We're also going to have some fun with opening day trivia, the opening ceremony, which was a little bit later in the month.

And we're also going to share some first visit memories.

I love that we posted on Instagram and Facebook.

You guys messaged us and emailed us about sharing your first visit to the world.

And it's cool to hear everybody's different take because some people had gone as a kid,

so they remember it early in the late, in the mid-70s. Some people didn't get a chance to visit until they were much older. Like you, Bruce, I think your first visit was not until we had kids. Yeah, definitely not. And it wasn't great. It wasn't that awesome. I'm just thinking about that. As you're talking, our first visit to the park didn't go great. Yeah, it was a blur. It was a lot. It was a lot to take in. We did the same rookie mistake. We tried to do too much too soon. We didn't listen to this podcast and kind of slow down a little bit. But the good news is we went back and the second time was great, which is why you're listening to this podcast today.

I mean, it really is.

Like, it's crazy to think about our story sometimes because you would assume that we were just

naturally Walt Disney World fans growing up.

Which is kind of relatable to this podcast, right?

Because, like, the opening day of Disneyland didn't go great.

That's true.

And opening day of Disney World, they learned from those mistakes and opened it a lot

differently.
