Hope you all are having a lovely holiday weekend enjoying some fireworks.

In the interest of the holiday we are taking this week off but Jess and I put our heads together and thought it might be fun to run a special

Based on those famous three questions that we ask every one of our guests you know know, one of our favorite things about this show

and one of the things we're really proud of

is that we really try to dive into the emotional experience

of what it's like to be a writer at any stage in their career.

So every episode we ask our guests what brings you the most joy about writing,

what pisses you off about writing, and what scene would you like to be remembered by.

That tradition started with John August, and we've asked every guest since.

So we're going to run kind of a compilation collage of all of our guests answering those

questions and as always it's such a gift to hear their insights.
