Hello and welcome to episode 52 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Hi, I'm John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor and now publisher of Lightspeed magazine.

I'm also the editor of several anthologies, several of which are coming out in 2012, including

under the moons of Mars, which features stories inspired by the Barsoom Saga by Edgar Rice Burrows.

Armored, which is about powered armored soldiers in Mecca, and the Mad Scientist Guide to World Domination, which is about

mad scientists and evil geniuses trying to take over the world.

My latest book to come out was Light Speed Year 1, which collects all of the fiction

published in the first year of Light Speed.

And I'm David Barr-Kirtley.

I'm the author of many short stories including Power Armor a Love story, about an inventor from the

future who never takes off his invincible armor for fear of a lurking assassin.

The story will appear in March in John's

anthology armored from banned books. And this is the first episode of Geek's
