Summary
This week we’re joined by Hilary Goldstein and Dave Clayman, two of the voices behind IGN’s legendary Three Red Lights podcast, the loud, chaotic and gloriously irreverent Xbox 360 show that helped define mid-2000s gaming culture. From sleeping on office couches and playing Halo 2 before anyone else, to Don King promos, 50 Cent interviews and the early days of podcasting when you had to manually download episodes onto an MP3 player, they share wild behind-the-scenes stories from the golden age of online gaming media.

| 1:07.0 | A great time for joining us for the podcast that lands every Friday and lets you know all the big happenings in the wonderful world of retro gaming and technology and welcomes veterans of the industry. On to the show every week for a bit of a chat about their history. More on that coming up very soon. And a reminder, we do actually do a video version of this podcast. I kind of mention that at the start of most shows. We're getting a bit of a new audience building up there as well. But if you ever, kind of want to see some of the visualizations of what we're talking about, maybe some of the gameplay footage, that kind of thing. I'll put the link to the YouTube channel in there as well. You might see, actually, if you watch the YouTube version, just how glowing it is in Joe's room today. Some glorious sunshine coming through |

| 1:59.4 | You got a lovely glow today, yeah. Okay, we're going on a nice look like. It is. I think it's interesting because we always record at evenings or kind of late hours, so you don't really see sunlight, but we're doing a marathon session today. Because I'm heading away, but not so retro gaming event. I'll be gone for a week, but you won't even notice. I shouldn't have mentioned it, should I? The magic of podcast, just when the scenes weren't the same close next week, that kind of explains why. I'm going to change my jumper. But actually, it's not the only place, you know, you're flying off for a week in the Sunshine Ravi, but actually lots of eight-mentioned events there. I mean, our calendar is already filling up. It just kind of get into this time of year when we're doing the negotiations on email, aren't me, with people that run retro gaming events and finding out where we're going to be. And generally, they all happen throughout spring and summer. So the calendar is starting to fill up. Actually, we've got a few that we can announce already. In a couple of months' time in April, I'm going to be flying back out to New Jersey, back to the wonderful VCF East. That's going to be happening on April 17th to 19th, which that is an event. You've been to it before, Avi, it's a proper hardcore computer nerd event, that one, isn't it? Yeah, this is like, it's on a kind of, |
