About This Episode:
Sigma Nutrition is ten years old this week!
Over this time, I'm grateful for a wealth of insights garnered from interviews with some of the brightest minds in the field of evidence-based nutrition science.
Through these conversations, I've come to understand the critical underpinnings of scientific thinking, the importance of honing our critical appraisal skills, and the crucial distinction between accurate dissemination of information and misleading "half-truths".

| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to another episode of Sigma Nutrition Radio. |
| 0:18.3 | You're very welcome. |
| 0:19.9 | My name is Danny Lennon. This week marks the 10-year |
| 0:24.3 | anniversary of this podcast. So quite unbelievably to me still, this podcast first started in |
| 0:31.4 | April of 2014 and since then have been pretty much weekly since that point, maybe minus a handful of times |
| 0:41.5 | whether there hasn't been a weekly episode, but pretty much weekly for the past 10 years. |
| 0:47.2 | So a milestone, that's pretty wild for me to consider, certainly not one that imagined |
| 0:52.7 | at the time or could have seen where it would end up. |
| 0:56.2 | Because we've reached this milestone of sorts, it had me thinking about that time frame |
| 1:01.8 | and reflecting on some of those things that have happened in that time. |
| 1:07.0 | And for me personally, what I've learned from doing this over that period of time, and of course, |
| 1:13.0 | there are many, many things that I've learned specifically about nutrition and health science |
| 1:17.2 | and that I continue to earn every single week because I'm in a very fortunate position to be |
| 1:22.7 | able to talk to leading academics and practitioners in this field about their specific work, where they |
| 1:30.1 | have true expertise, and through my own background reading and attempts to try and ask |
| 1:37.2 | some interesting questions, I'm getting to learn a little bit about each of these topics |
| 1:42.7 | every week. |
| 1:43.7 | And so I'm constantly |
| 1:44.4 | learning something new in virtually every discussion and every topic that is broached |
| 1:51.1 | on the podcast. However, what I thought might be interesting as both a personal reflection |
| 1:57.0 | exercise for myself, but also maybe for some of you to hear, is to think more about |
| 2:03.6 | some of those bigger, broader lessons that I've learned over this period of time from doing |
