The Hello and welcome to many episode number 517 of real live ghost stories.

And I have four spooky stories for you today.

And the last story comes from January the 24th, 2026.

And story number one comes from Sarah.

In April 2024, I adopted a beautiful black and white fluffy cat called Cassie from Cat's Protection.

We didn't get off to the best start, as her toilet habits at times weren't the best.

I went to France for a week and came back,

and Cassie was all over me. She wouldn't leave my side.

She followed me everywhere.

She sat next to me on the sofa or lay next to me on my bed.

She gave me this look and I knew she loved me. I can't explain it.

Fast forward to November 2024 and I woke up one morning and my feet felt numb like they had stones or ice on them.

Over the course of two weeks this spread to my waist and I couldn't stand.

Turns out I have multiple sclerosis and was having a flare. During this time, Cassie actually

sat on my lap. She knew something was wrong. I would spend some nights downstairs on the sofa and

she was always with me. Things got a bit better for me. I went back to work, and as soon as I got in, she would jump

off the sofa and sit at the kitchen table with me whilst I had my dinner, and then sit next

to me on the sofa. Fast forward to December this year, Cassie had become a bit fussy with her food,

or so I thought. I said to my husband, I'm going to take her to the vets, as this had gone on for a couple of weeks.

But every time I thought of taking her, she would perk up.

That night she took a bad turn. It wasn't very nice and I took her to the vets.
