Welcome back, everybody to The Uncomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snow, and this is the annual podcast that I spend the most time preparing for.

It is our podcast about the six novels nominated this year for the Nebula awards by the science

fiction writers.

They get together at the Science Fiction Writers Association and they vote.

I believe Dan gets to vote in the Nebulas now.

Dan Moran, hello.

Hi. That's technically true. Yes, I do,

and I think I did actually this year. I'm so bad at remembering these things. But yes,

it's a pleasure to be here because I did the required reading, Jason, for the first time in many years. In a long time, so it's nice to have you. Thanks for showing up. Six books nominated. Not everybody read all six, but most of them, I think, read five of the six. And the six one was the continuation of a series. Scott and I took the bullet on that one. We'll get to that in a little bit. And then, of course, we will follow this up in a few months with a Hugo nominees. There are like three books, I think, that we're nominated for the Hugo that we can talk about

along with some stories and stuff.

But this is for these six novels.

We'll get to them all.

I've selected them randomly.

And I've selected, we did a little draft before the show to see who would help me

remember what's in these books.
