The Yankees have some news but more importantly we sat down with Trey Amber Gay to get some huge follow up questions from last episode about playing with Trey Turner and being the third in his family and Jose Fernandez and a lot of other stuff.

Your thoughts Jake James David. Yeah, Trey was cool man. He had fun, which was cool. Yeah, I mean we covered the spectrum from name high school baseball COVID stuff at the end Yankees baseball himself a little bit. That was fun.

You know fun to connect the dots from last episode to today and yeah man doing all right. We are kind of live right now in the middle of baseball getting the stove going. This was this was kind of a day we've been waiting for for the baseball hitters.

Because and if you know if you're Yankee fan you probably know the name Eddie Rosario he's been on the twins the past few years.

He kind of got non-tendered we've talked a little bit about it on the past couple episodes is kind of the direction baseball is going.

They have ways to quantify value now that they didn't in the past so Eddie Rosario who's been a guy in the middle of the twins lineup for you know five six years his contract number arbitration was up to nine million.

They basically decided they're not going to pay it they put them on waivers so any team in the league could have claimed him for that price nobody did so he's still finding out his results but that story was going around Yankees land with Gary Sanchez.

Because his salary number this year was going to be five seven by five million we've been alluding to it.

And it looks like he's going to remain Yankee on his birthday on his birth so that's kind of the good big news was a lot to talk about with him moving forward.

Just because they gave him a contract doesn't mean he's a starting catcher automatically and doesn't mean he's good automatically again.

But zero point zero chance they weren't going to do this and try to tell everyone a while ago because people were getting way too loud like it was actually an option wasn't.

It gets it wasn't.

Yeah, the we've danced around the conversation numerous times I mean whether you want to call it supply and demand I mean potential non potential I did a weird sales analogy.

It just makes sense you know if you're pointing and you're saying well JT real Muto is a free agent.

I mean you just haven't been kind of keeping in touch with the Yankees and how they operate anymore we don't just sign the top three free agents anywhere.

You know it's modern baseball they've genuinely made rules against that and Gary Sanchez is still there's an argument to be made he's the most talented catcher in baseball I know we haven't seen that.

I would not make that argument anymore talented.
