Hello, I'm Amanda Diverman. I'm Caitlin Berry and this is the Betcha's sub podcast.

Where C-Span meets a group chat to help you process and laugh at the biggest topics in

US news and politics. I hope you guys enjoy that new intro. We had coming and at the top,

I wanted to mention that I, I misidentified Mount Rainier yesterday as being in Oregon,

not Washington and within like an hour, many, many people corrected me and sent me beautiful

pictures. And I felt very ashamed. I did not know that that gorgeous, gorgeous piece of

geography was in Washington and I will never forget it. Never. I feel like that is like

somebody saying like the Empire State Building is in Chicago or something.

That's fair. I knew those are the consider that regionally, you know, there might be like a

a little bit of a Washington Oregon showdown. I was honestly just flattered and I told

somebody this that we have such a strong Pacific Northwest contingent that is so reactive.

That makes me feel great. Keep it national, keep it international. Exactly.

Yeah. So today we are going to start by talking a little bit about the meltdown with New York

cities, mayoral race. This is worth talking about because it's pretty alarming and in similar

to some previous issues that have sort of cast some doubt and issues on the electoral process.

And then we're going to talk about some updates with the investigation into January 6th.

Caitlin, how have you been doing with this heat? Oh my gosh, it's so terrible. Like I cannot.
