Summary

Sheleana Aiyana is the real deal when it comes to processing family trauma. After you hear the story of what she went through as a child – and how she overcame it – you'll be a believer as well. Sheleana knows that, if more of us could understand the impact of inherited family trauma and how to move through it, the world would be a brighter place. She’s the founder of Rising Woman, a community of more than three million readers. Sheleana is very truthful, very heart-centered, and she’s doing work that helps so many people. Her new book, “Becoming the One,” debunks the myth that we need someone from outside ourselves, “the one,” to come into our life and save us. You have everything within you to become the one in your own life. And if you doubt it now, Sheleana can be very convincing. We also talk about: Coming into your voice Allowing yourself to be seen How different internal wounds are healed Bringing conscious work into your relationship The power struggle phase of relationships The myth of The One Coming back to the body The journey of inner teen work Sponsors: Pendulum | Visit pendulumlife.com and use promo code ALMOST30 for 20% off your first month of membership House of Wise | Go to houseofwise.co and use code ALMOST30 for 20% off Sakara | Explore their menu at sakara.com/almostsakara and use code ALMOSTSAKARA for 20% off your first order Athletic Greens | Go to athleticgreens.com/almost30 to get a free year’s supply of Vitamin D and five free travel packs Issuu | Get 50% off a premium account by visiting issuu.com/podcast and using code ALMOST30 Resources: Visit Rising Woman at risingwoman.com Read: Becoming the One Follow Sheleana on Instagram: @sheleanaaiyana Follow Rising Woman on Instagram: @RisingWoman Visit lifeeditbykrista.com to sign up for the free Life Edit Mini Challenge Join our community: almost30.com/membership facebook.com/Almost30podcast/groups Podcast disclaimer can be found by visiting: almost30.com/disclaimer.  Find more to love at almost30.com! It was just so it's so nice. It's the best. So if you ever see us say hi, we probably look like shit. But whatever. We're at the class. Yes. So I was at the class one time like a year, two years ago when it was open or I don't even know when.

1:19.0

And this girl approached me and you know the class just rocks you. So the class is like a cathartic dance type of workout by Terran to me. So we didn't interview with Terran. That's really powerful.

1:31.0

And it's all about vibration frequency, just kind of being in your body. I know I'm saying all the buzzwords, but it's hard to explain. It's really just meant to be felt the best.

1:40.0

And we were in this class and this girl was like, came up to me and we just started. We were crying to each other because we were like so ready to cry.

1:47.0

Yeah. After the class, I was like, wow, that was fascinating. No words just no words. No, she was saying some things that I was crying and that she was crying and it was yeah, I was a whole vibe.

1:56.0

Yeah, no, it's it's literally the best. The girl that I ran into I was waiting in line to go to the bathroom. And at first she wasn't paying attention to like someone going and so I was like, oh, are you?

2:27.0

Lindsey comes in, you know, every two months, every six weeks, I go to New York sometimes. And this is like my outfit for recording week.

2:34.0

Yeah. I've been wearing this thing. We're actually wearing the same top. Yeah, we're wearing the same exact top. I've only been in this top. And I just realized that.

2:42.0

I was like, oh, this is my recording outfit. I would much rather have just one just a uniform.

2:47.0
