I found my great-grandma Annie in the 1921 census on ancestry. I discovered she was widowed

final scenes of the Lord of the Rings trilogy where Frodo and his fellow hobbits, Samwise,

Mary and Pippin,

not sure about those last two, are just sitting at the table in the middle of the festivities.

All of the other hobbits were celebrating the near impossible victory against the forces

of evil, whilst Frodo and his buddies were just sitting there, stunned and shanked that

they're still alive.

This short scene, which only lasts a few seconds, is my favorite scene of the whole trilogy,

because that one scene shows exactly what happens when soldiers return from a year of war.

We would oftentimes meet at drinking establishments and sit

in stunned silence, amazed that we were still alive after all the horrors we'd experienced.
