I think when it comes down to it is determining some way of getting me lulled into a sense of something.

But maybe what you need to do is like weeks upon weeks upon weeks being like,

You know, or maybe insult me for not like introducing you more properly or something like that.

Sounds like what you're trying to do is to lull me into not trying. Well, what?

Well, try and lull me into a strategy of lulling you into things.
