Summary

Finding your passion is no small thing. After you become a mom, you forget what you enjoy and you lose track of past hobbies. When you make an effort to former passion projects, whether it’s on a professional or personal level, you likely find that the things that totally filled you up and fueled you before kids don’t do that any more. It’s all… just different, somehow….   My work has shifted in many ways since becoming a mom. My hobbies have too. My time is different – and way more valuable. So, I’m really picky about how I spend it. I only want to do the things that add value to my life in some way. It has taken me some time to figure this out and define things.    Today, I’m going to share with you the things I’ve learned in the last 4 years of mothering and working and living a life that fulfills me. Here is the basic framework, be sure to listen in for a much more detailed explanation:   Know what you love  Know where you thrive Know what stifles you Know who you want to be   You can read the full show notes and access all the links and resources at www.shamelessmom.com Learn more about your ad choices. 0:11.9

and other passionate, dedicated moms the tools you need to bridge the gap between motherhood

0:16.2

and living the life of your dreams. I'm also here to help you be a little more shameless every day,

are you building? So let's dive in. Hello, shameless moms. And welcome to following your

0:35.1

passion part one. I'm really excited about this episode and the episode

0:39.9

that follows because I'm going to be talking about some ways that I've followed my passion,

0:44.9

some times that I've gotten completely off track. And I also think that you will get a lot

0:50.5

of helpful hints about ways that you can follow your passion. So whether you are a stay-at-home

0:55.6

mom looking to just have like a creative outlet or if you are a stay-at-home mom looking to make

1:02.2

some money in a different way or a new way, maybe with some part-time work, or maybe you're a

1:06.6

stay-at-home mom looking to get back into the workforce or maybe you're already in the

1:09.4

workforce looking to transition or grow in a different way or head in a different direction.

1:14.1

Or maybe you're in the workforce and you're looking to get out of the workforce and do something on

1:18.8

your own, whether it be a work thing or a passion project. I think all of this will be really

1:23.4

helpful. So we'll be talking about the way that I've gone about different things and also

1:28.5

the way I've seen other people really thrive in following their dreams. I've been lucky and

1:34.3

honored to be a part of some groups of business owners in the last 10 years or so where I've

1:40.2

just, I've really seen people be able to define what they're passionate about, which can be challenging, and then also be able to build something around that. And that's where

1:48.8

things can get challenging. It sometimes is not so hard to define what we're passionate about,

1:52.5

but we don't know how we can make money doing that. Or the other side of that is we know how we can
