Hello, Heroes, and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot.

I'm James Damato, your host and GameMaster.

Heroes, this is one of the last series on One Shot that I'm going to be hosting.

After this, we are going to air audition games for people who are vying to become the new one-shot host.

I'll explain more about the audition series when we're coming up on them.

For now though, I wanted to make possibly my last introduction as

host of One Shot the way that I normally do, which is talking about the game that

we're playing. One of my favorite things about One Shot is it's an opportunity to discover games that aren't really being featured anywhere else.

Which is why I am surprised that one of the last games that we're running for this series is Chubos marvelous wish-granting engine.

Chubos was designed by Jenna Moran who many people know from Nobilis.

She's a very acclaimed and popular designer.

However, Chubos, which was published in 2014, has shockingly few actual play productions for it.

This game has been suggested to me by fans of role play and design for years.

But it's kind of an intimidating volume. The core trouboe's rulebook is 500 pages long.

And Moran has a reputation for creating dense games. They are rewarding and beautiful, but they are extremely dense.

And my schedule meant that I had to learn like two new games a month,

so it's something that I put off for a very long time

while making one shot.

But a couple months ago my friend

Gian Shim came to me raving about this game, saying that in their private

playgroup they had amazing experiences that profoundly changed their

outlook as a designer and a player.
