Welcome back everybody to The Incomparable.

I am your host, Jason Snell, and in this episode, we're going to be talking about something

a little bit different for us.

We're not going to be talking about a particular work.

We're going to be talking about a franchise and where that franchise goes next. And of course, there's our beloved Star Wars. After the

conclusion of the Skywalker saga with the rise of Skywalker, Star Wars is in a really interesting

position where they've got like a Disney Plus series and they've got some other Disney Plus series

on the way. But there's a really open question about

what they do with this franchise overall. Do they focus on TV? Presumably, this is a giant film

franchise. They need to go back to the movies, but we've got a lot of mixed signals. We've had, like,

people, like the Game of Thrones guys, were announced to do Star Wars movies, and then they were

de-announced from doing Star Wars movies. So I thought I would gather some panelists

together to talk a little bit about just throwing some ideas around where do we think

Star Wars as a franchise might go in the future because I feel like we're at a point now.

This is sort of like a follow-on to our episode when Disney bought

Lucasfilm, where it's sort of a moment to pause and reflect and wonder like, where does it go

from here, since this is a franchise we love so much? So joining me to talk about all of these issues
