Today's episode is all about the sanctions placed on Russia after Russia's

invasion of Ukraine. I'm joined by Boomberg's Stephanie Baker, she has a new book out,

punishing Putin inside the global economic war to bring down

Russia. This conversation is interesting because there's a bunch of questions that

are open regarding sanctions. Are the sanctions working, were they overhiked and overstated at the start of the war, and how is Russia actually performing giving the status of the sanctions regime?

And of course domestic pressure at home in the West broadly when it comes to oil prices.

There's also a broad conversation about how sanctions will in fact deter or maybe not

deter China from making moves when it comes to Taiwan.
