Seven or eight minutes is so hugely important.

I want you all to listen up very, very, very, very closely.

Let me tell you this real quick.

One of the best things that came out of my childhood was the

fact that my mom showed me how to do stuff so I can do it on my own.

And you know, one of the things that comes up quite frequently in my

money money academy course is the letting go.

You know, parents who have been making the lunches and you know

doing everything for the children and now they're 16, 17 years old.

And there is a fear and a discomfort about having that conversation

about saying to, you know, the young adult, hey, today I'm going to show you

how to do this so you can do it on your own.

You know, we have a hard time letting go.

And you know, just to get back, when I went to college, I knew how

to make my own food.

I knew how to do my own laundry.

I knew how to put together a shopping list and go shopping like I knew

all that stuff because my mom showed me how to do that stuff.
