0:03.0	Today I'm coming at you with a solo episode where I want to talk to you about how the beliefs and the perspective we have about the world frame our world,
0:12.0	about what goes on in our unconscious mind actually directs our lives.
0:17.0	If you do not take charge of how your brain works and where you direct your attention
0:21.7	and what you believe about the world, you will create a life that someone else programmed you to
0:26.5	create. The upper limits that you have about your life will be from other people. Now, I was recently
0:32.2	reading Dr. Benjamin Hardy's work, and he said two things that I loved. The first is, you have to decide what kind of
0:40.5	universe or world you think this is, whether it's friendly or hostile. This decision is going to
0:46.7	alter everything you see and do. Your belief system shapes your perception and decisions.
0:52.3	If you believe this is a hostile and dangerous world, then you
0:56.0	will live fearfully and skeptically. If you believe this is a friendly world, then you will
1:02.0	trust people. You will trust God. You will trust that things will work out. Does this mean
1:08.0	that there aren't dangers or things to be feared or thoughtful about?
1:11.6	Of course not. It doesn't mean blind ignorance. But if you believe that as a foundation,
1:18.6	this world is good and friendly, and that everything is working out for your good, then you approach
1:25.6	life with more openness and positive expectation. You'll also turn the
1:29.9	experiences of life into meaning and purpose, which will move you forward rather than hold you back.
1:36.3	And the second part, you have to decide whether you believe an intelligent design or random chance.
1:42.5	If you believe there is a God and that God is an intelligent being
1:46.5	and creator who is also friendly and loving, then you'll believe as Einstein did in inspiration,
1:53.2	guidance, as well as in the laws of nature. If you believe in random chance and essentially
1:58.1	purposelessness, both in the universe as well as in your life,
