Within the last couple of days, the New York Times reported a police officer who arrived on the scene,

had the chance to shoot the gunman before he entered the school, but he declined to take the shot,

fearing he would hit children playing outside. That's according to a senior

sheriff's deputy. It hasn't even been a month since the massacre in Evaldi. We cannot let this

awful tragedy fade away as just a part of a past new cycle. The answers to these questions

belong to the public, and we must demand accountability.

As you begin your father's day, think of the fathers and the mothers of these 19 children

and two teachers. Think about the answers that they deserve and the possibility that they may
