And I'm going to be taking you to Arkansas to tell you the story of a man who in February of 2017 was arrested for murder.

Now, that in turn also led to a separate conviction for rape, where a former police officer would be

forever known as the devil in the Ozarks. His real name is Grant Hardin,

and today I'm discussing his crime, his conviction, and an escape years later that would put the

entire country in fear. So let's get into it. And first we're going to go to Bentonville, Arkansas, where Grant Hardin was

born in 1969. In Bentonville, of course, that may sound familiar to you. It is the home of Walmart. It was where

Walmart was born and bred. Walmart actually brought a lot of industry to that area of
