Summary

We follow headlines, influencers, and trends — but are we still following Jesus? In a world obsessed with the next big thing, this episode calls us back to the quiet, dusty road behind the Savior. Walk slower. Look closer. Follow deeper. Let’s rediscover what it really means to so closely pursue our Savior that we are covered in the dust of His feet.

Questions to ask yourself this week:

- Whose dust are you wearing?

- Are you covered in the noise of the world, or the presence of the Savior?

- Do your days reflect your desire to follow Jesus—or just your desire to keep up?

We hope that you enjoy this episode.

God bless you and Go Rise Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to another episode of Monday Meditations. To start the week off right,

0:07.9

the phrase we're going to be meditating on is dusty feed. There's something really interesting

0:16.2

that's happening in our generation right now, and it's interesting because we don't even question it anymore.

0:22.3

We live to follow. We follow trends. We follow influencers. We follow the news, stock tips, drama,

0:29.3

diets. You name it. We follow everything. But what's really interesting is that sometimes,

0:37.2

although we're subscribed to all these other things,

0:40.0

we forget sometimes to follow the one who asked us to follow him.

0:47.3

Jesus didn't call us to click like from a distance.

0:51.0

He said, follow me.

0:53.2

Not as fans, not as spectators, but as disciples, learners,

0:59.0

imitators. When Jesus spoke out the invitation for us to follow him, it wasn't casual. It wasn't

1:06.8

metaphorical. He was literally calling people to walk with him so closely that the dust from his

1:14.3

sandals would cover their feet. That's the ancient picture of discipleship, to walk behind the rabbi,

1:21.4

to listen, to observe, to become like him in every single way.

1:28.3

And yet again, we're so familiar with the latest morning routine of our favorite

1:32.6

YouTuber than we are with how Jesus handled solitude, interruption, or even grief.

1:40.1

And somehow in a world overflowing with information and content, the one voice we're meant

1:45.4

to follow gets drowned out by the noise.

1:48.2

And maybe that's the call for us in this hour is not to get louder, not to hustle harder

1:53.3

or hustle more, but to get closer.

1:57.9

And I'll be honest, there came a time in my own walk when I realized I was consuming more about faith

2:03.3

than I was communing with Jesus himself.
