Good afternoon. Today is Monday, March 11th, and I'm your host Kim Khan.

Our top story so far. About 50 passengers were injured when a Boeing 787 dreamliner flown by Lattham Airlines, from Sydney to Auckland, experience what the carrier described as a technical

event.

The airline said in a statement that the incident caused a strong movement on the plane and

that it deeply regrets any inconvenience and discomfort this situation may have caused its passengers.

Boeing stock fell as much as 4% before cutting some of those losses.

The plane landed at Auckland International Airport and 12 patients were taken to hospital according to news reports.

In an interview with Radio New Zealand, a passenger said the flight was smooth until the plane just dropped,

adding people screamed as he felt the plane take a nose dive

before flattening out seconds later. Boeing said in a statement, we are working to gather

more information about the flight and will provide any support needed to our customers.

In today's trading, stocks are moving lower, with the major averages down about half a percent or more.

Industrials is the weakest S&P sector.

Near-term Treasury yields are up ahead of Tuesday's

CPI figures.

The two-year yield is back above 4.52%.

Meanwhile, the crypto rally continues.

Bitcoin surge passed $71,000 for the first time.

The cryptocurrency's price has been steadily climbing,

driven by growing institutional interest and broader acceptance.
