And in today's podcast, I'm going to be talking about a review course, the ABIM, the American Board of Internal Medicine, 50-hour review course. So the thing is, this has been a long time in the making. It's definitely taken a long time to come up with this.

And this course is a 50-hour review, and it's for the American Board of Internal Medicine

Initial Certification Exam. So this is a 10-hour review and it's for the American Board of Internal Medicine initial certification

exam. So this is a 10-hour exam, has 240 questions, right? And we know that this test is taken

by thousands of graduating internal medicine residents, right, and practicing internists every

single year. You know, and not just that you know also there's

the recertification exam right this course will also be applicable to that so the thing about this

exam is that this exam is quite nebulous right it tests significant amounts of information in many

different ways that really evaluates your ability to look at multiple competing scenarios,

right, and then arrive at the best possible decision, right?

So to tackle this problem, I decided to make a quality review course, a quality 50-hour review

course that tries to achieve the following. Number

one, tries to achieve comprehensive coverage of the material that classically shows up on the exam.

Number two, helps you get your thinking straight on common sources of confusion.

And number three, I use a thoughtful question approach as the primary

means of reviewing the content. So the content is not going to be reviewed, oh, just straight

lecture, no. It's going to be reviewed by way of questions, thoughtful questions, right?

Thoughtful questions, thoughtful questions. And another. Thoughtful questions. Um, and another goal of

mine, number four, is emphasizing testing principles that will prevent you from falling for

the ABIM straps, right? And how's the course going to be structured? The course is going to be

structured over 10 days with five hour sessions every single day, all right? Four and a half hours will be dedicated
