Hey, what's going on everyone?

Kevin here, and today we're going to talk about just some weird veggies that you can grow in the garden.

I don't know about you, but I have kind of a pension for weird veggies. I'll oftentimes stop growing something

that is really productive and really easy to grow and then I will switch to

something that's a little bit more unique or harder to grow just simply because

it's kind of odd or weird. That's me, that's the way I like to grow things. I'm not all about production,

sometimes I'm just about growing something kind of weird. So let's talk about just a few. One of my favorites in this category is actually a simple veggie that I talk about often on the podcast and elsewhere, but it would be the radish. So there's tons of

different types of radishes. I remember that Baker Creek Airloom Seeds actually has a

Sacragima giant radish and the picture is this amazing picture of a baby or a toddler,

maybe one to two years old, holding this radish,

and the radish is something like one to two feet tall.

It's a massive radish. But that's actually not the one I'm

talking about the one I'm talking about is the watermelon radish so this one you

might be forgiven for mistaking it as a beat because if you were to cut into it the skin is white but the

meat inside is this sort of blood red it's this magenta type of interior that looks absolutely amazing.

And you know what's perfect is it's the perfect time to plant the watermelon

radish right now.

It likes a late summer, early fall planting because it's not very heat tolerant at all.

Okay, here's another one. Now I don't know if you've been following the gardening trends this year,

it certainly seems to me like cucumellons or mouse

melons are one of the most popular things to grow this year and I'm really not
