Hey everyone welcome back to today's episode of the epic gardening podcast Kevin here and today we are talking about

Some soil indicators that you want to look at if you aren't experiencing the epic growth that you might like out of the garden.

So a lot of the times we think it's something that we're doing wrong in the garden that's causing

some lackluster harvests or some unhealthy or potentially sick looking plants.

And oftentimes, it's really not.

It's the environment that we've given the plant, right?

So soil being one of the most important components that you'll ever,

ever add to your garden, you have to get it right. So today we're going to look at five different indicators of bad soil and how you might fix that

problem. So the first one's going to be a low nitrogen issue. So if your plant leaves, usually the lowest leaves are discoloring

and falling off, the soil is pretty likely to be low in nitrogen. So the ones that are the oldest growth.

Now the best way to fix that is just add some compost but not all compost is

created equal. You want to make sure that you're using a high quality

compost or if you are making your own, you need to make sure that you're following correct composting
