Welcome to episode five, no less, of The Restless Politics. I'm Alistair Campbell,

and I'm Rory Stewart. And Rory, last week you were in Baghdad, and today you are where?

I'm in southern Rwanda, which is flown in from Qatar, and I'm in a place called Huya

in southern Rwanda, about three hours drive from the capital. Lovely. I'm actually sitting

in a hotel room overlooking the Matterhorn because I'm in Switzerland for a wedding. In fact,

if you could see me, Rory, I'm sitting wearing a kiln because I'm going to be playing the backpipes

other wedding. But we don't need to talk about my backpipes yet. We can do that later. I want to

talk today about Joe Biden and his communications, and I want to talk about Zelensky and his communications.

And we've also had loads and loads and loads and loads of questions. And quite a few I have to say

on your former colleague, and desk, Sharer, Rishi Sunak, who I might venture has not had the best

week comms-wise. Well, let's, let's get going then, Asda. And apologies to you and to anyone

listening if the Rwandan connections are a bit strange. But, but I, I thought maybe a question

be a good place to start this week. So we got one from Sean, and it says, following the recent

disastrous royal tour, what is the purpose of the royal family and the commonwealth? Do they

enhance our image in the world over the? What is really that disastrous? I mean, I think it was one

of those, this is Will's and Kate going around the Caribbean. And there seemed to me to have been

one or two moments that were a bit tricky for them. There were a couple of images that I think

they could well have done without, ticketed one where they were poking their fingers through a fence

at some children. But I think it's one of those things where there is such a sort of media loving
