0:03.5	I was like, why is nobody talking? Why is everybody contributing in this?
0:06.2	We were trying to essentially build a new strategy.
0:09.0	And I was like, why am I the only one talking? I'm so frustrated.

0:38.6	I'm going to talk about is how to run meetings without wanting to kill yourself.
0:41.7	So I want to make this because I've had a lot of discussions recently with CEOs about meetings
0:47.0	and meeting cadences and should we have meetings, should we not have meetings,
0:51.0	et cetera, et cetera.
0:52.5	And I'll tell you this, is that I know that the average
0:56.4	Americans spends about 65 hours per month in meetings. This is just the average working person.
1:02.5	This isn't even an executive. And so if you look at America as a whole, we spend about
1:06.7	$30 billion a year in payroll on meetings. It's a freaking insane. However, there's a lot of people
1:13.7	that have come to say that meetings are not necessary, that meetings take up too much time,
1:17.5	that meetings are ineffective. Well, I trust Google, and Google did a study on its own business,
1:22.2	and essentially came out with the understanding that meetings in doses are better than not having meetings.
