Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. In recognition, we are breaking down the history of the holiday and sharing our thoughts on how it is and perhaps should be recognized. The popular origin story of International Women's Day is more myth than fact. The real history of International Women's Day is that it began as a socialist holiday! International Women's Day helped spark the Russian Revolution! In the 1960s, second wave feminists adopted the day as their own. The 2022 theme is #BreaktheBias.
