Lawmakers returned to work this week. The Senate said to take up the reconciliation bill.

Republican Senator Ron Johnson says he's going to insist on deeper spending cuts to address the debt burden.

In the meantime, the Trump administration's push to cut government costs has expanded from

Now to technology companies, Walser Journal, reporting that officials sent a letter to 10 tech firms last week.

They're asking executives to justify their work and to find areas to cut.

The meantime, Ukraine says it destroyed dozens of Russian warplanes in a clandestine drone attack on Russia's long-range bomber fleet.

The attack coming as delegations from Russia and Ukraine are set to meet today in Istanbul for negotiations for a ceasefire.

And Newark Airport is going to be reopening a closed runway today.
