Hi, I'm Andrew Osork and co-host of Squawk Box with Becky Quick, and this is Five Things to Know before the opening bell.

Starting with the bidding war for Warner Brothers Discovery, Netflix, Paramount and Comcast, parent company of this network,

submitting offers by yesterday's deadline, Netflix and our own parent company.

Comcast are said to want the company's studio and streaming

businesses. David Ellison wants to combine the entire company with Paramount to create a counterweight

to some of the tech giants. So we're going to see how all of this pans out. In meantime,

we're watching shows of Nvidia this morning. This after yesterday's reversal contributed to what

was a big market sell-off. The stock is lower

again this morning in pre-market trading down by more than 6.5% weak to date. And prediction market

Calci has now raised $1 billion in its latest fundraising round at evaluation of $11 billion,

according to TechCrunch, that round coming less than two months after its previous fundraise at $5 billion valuation.

And the CEO of CrowdStrike has taken a stake in the Mercedes AMG Formula One team, the deal valuing that Mercedes team at $6 billion.

And a painting by a Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, selling for $54.7 million, most ever for a female artist at auction.

The 1940 canvas called The Dream, The Bed, is a self-portrait of her sleeping.

The dream also becoming the world's priciest Latin American artwork, topping the price

of another of her portraits that was sold back in 2021. Pretty cool. It is. We're going to be back
