I'm Pete, joined by Mike. And the Lakers had a hell of a weekend this weekend.

Five straight victories on Friday night. They took it to the Atlanta Hawks who didn't really come

ready to play. But the Lakers made them pay for that going up by, I think, 24, 25 in the first

half. Mike, you were doing a sideline interview with Gail Goodrich as the Lakers were going on a run.

And I'm listening to it. And I'm like, as someone who talks to you every day I'm like I could

tell you were like damn Lakers are on a run right now like as you're interviewing Goodrich and then

Hawks make a little push in the second half but Lakers took every punch they had and then kept

him at arms distance end up winning 130 to 114 then second night of a back back-to-back. They win a shootout in Sacramento, a great game. It was tied, you know, at multiple points, I think at the end of each quarter, tied with two seconds left. Dennis Schroeder knocks down a couple free throws. Deeran Fox, who was amazing in the fourth quarter, especially misses a buzzer-beater. Lakers get the win. Mike, really good weekend for the team.

When the dust settles, Lakers have won five straight, longest winning streaks in two seasons.

And due to some good fortune around the Western Conference, they find themselves half a game back of the 10th seed to get in the play-in spot, but also just a game back of the sixth seed.
