She is the founder and president of Celebrate Kids.

She's a popular guest on Focus on the Family Radio. Some of you may have heard her there.

She also was on Kurt Cameron's movie called Connect that he made in 2018,

which if you have not seen it and you are a parent, I highly recommend it. It's real help for

parenting kids in a social media world, so really relevant to a life as a parent in today's culture. She's the author of six books.

Screens and Teens is one of my favorites, also Eight Great Smarts. And her newest book is

called Start with the Heart, How to Motivate Our Kids to Be Compassionate, Responsible, and brave, even when you're not around.

And she is Dr. Kathy, so she has a PhD in reading and educational psychology from Purdue

University. So Kathy, welcome to our podcast. And thank you so much for being with us.

I'm honored to be here. Thanks for the

invitation. Kathy, one of my favorite books that you've written is the eight great smarts. And

I read it like hoping to help my kids, but it turns out that it actually helped me understand

myself better. It helped me understand my spouse better and my friends.
