0:06.5	I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD,
0:12.6	as we've all been following the Louvre robberies.
0:17.1	It's amazing.
0:18.3	I think we don't appreciate law enforcement and the technology that they've been able to use in regards to coming up with the names of two perpetrators that committed this robbery. And now we know there's two more, right?
0:40.3	So identifying the DNA based on things that were left behind, tools, a construction vest, right?
0:52.3	The tools they used to break open the glass, the vehicle. They apparently had 150
0:59.0	samples of DNA. And much like we have in the United States, we know the DNA database called
1:08.1	KOTUS combined DNA index system in the United States, it's run by the FBI.
1:16.0	And there are two categories of DNA, right? Forensic DNA and Offender DNA.
1:24.0	Offender DNA is the DNA of criminals who have been convicted of certain crimes, and it goes into the database in the United States that databases run by the FBI.
1:36.6	Forensic DNA is DNA taken from crime scenes that has yet to be identified.
1:44.7	So they were able to identify these two perpetrators
1:48.8	based on the French equivalent of a CODIS database,
1:53.0	and they named the perpetrators in this.
1:56.7	And as I said very early on in this investigation,
2:00.6	when the police, the police will make an arrest in this case.
2:03.4	And when they do, they're going to know the perpetrators.
2:06.8	And guess what?
2:07.4	They did know them.
2:08.3	So two predictions I made.
