with equal parts curiosity, calculation, and caffeine. I always like to start the year by

looking at technologies that are making genuine progress, even if most folks think of

them as far-off science fiction or pure fantasy. This year will be exploring some amazing

frontiers, from brain-computer interfaces and space elevators to artificial rooms, Jurassic Park

style de-extinction, and rebuilding the human body itself. Along the way, we'll take a few quick detours into dream recording,

weather control, and why room temperature superinductors still aren't quite living up to the hype.
