I'm Jeff.

We're in week nine, man. We are in week nine, which means we have six weeks left in the fantasy football regular season. For some of us, six weeks left in our fantasy football season. I don't care about constellations, by the way, and I know. Some people do. I just don't see the point. I'm playing for a championship. If I'm playing for the

0:37.9

championship, I really don't care what I'm playing for. So yeah, that's how I feel. So it could be

0:43.6

six weeks left if we don't make the postseason. And I often talk about fantasy football the course

0:49.2

of the season, kind of like chess. You know, that's sort of where my brain goes. In chess, we start the game out

0:55.2

in the opening phase by positioning our pieces, right? We want to get our pieces in position,

1:00.9

so then in the middle stage, we can start attacking, and eventually some of us might even reach

1:06.1

the end game stage. That's the same with fantasy football, right? You put your pieces on the board, so to speak,

1:12.8

when you draft, when you are early in the season, you're kind of feeling things out. Things will

1:18.2

change. Of course, our opponents will throw us curve balls in a game of chess. The NFL season

1:25.1

will throw us curve balls throughout fantasy football. But ultimately,

1:29.5

we want to change, you know, shift gears when we get into that middle phase of the season

1:36.3

or the middle phase of the chess game, right? And we're there. We are totally there. So there are

1:40.3

some things that we're doing now potentially that we wouldn't be doing early in the season. Now, I do want to be clear. I'm going to talk about end game when we get there. For most

1:48.7

people, end game, I would say the earliest it might start is week 13, but for most people it's

1:54.2

week 14. And really the only time that I will do end game tactics is if I'm facing elimination. So I could be facing elimination

2:04.0

like a win and get in type situation in the last week of the fantasy football regular season.

2:08.7

For sure, I'm going to do some end game stuff, which would include things like blocking.
